Disgruntled employee quits, gets viral hit: viral video spotlight

A disgruntled employee made his feelings clear to his employer, handing in his resignation with the help of a brass band and scoring a viral hit in the process.
The video titled "Joey Quits" has, as of October 17, been viewed over 370,000 times since being uploaded to YouTube on October 12; statistics show the majority of these viewings occurred after October 14.
The video has been featured on numerous blogs and on October 17 was highlighted by YouTube on its Trends blog. Statistics show the video is most popular with males aged 25-54 living in North America and Australia.

The video shows a hotel employee, presumably called Joey, quitting his job in a dramatic fashion with the help of his bandmates.  After Joey and bandmates enter the hotel through the employee entrance, Joey presents his boss with his resignation letter, the band strikes up a tune, and Joey parades through the hotel corridors into the outside world.
Several other employees quitting their jobs in an unusual fashion have previously made for viral videos on YouTube. Some of the most notable examples include Steve Slater, a former Jet Blue attendant, who quit by pulling the emergency slide and jumping off the plane; a man who, to the soundtrack of Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody," stood up in a canteen and removed his shirt to reveal the words "I Quit" on his chest; and "Joy," who in 2008 sent his employers a Star Wars-themed resignation video expressing a desire to sleep with his colleagues and including an image of himself naked.
