Look which former Terminator just joined vamp drama True Blood

HBO's hit vampire drama True Blood has added a ton of sci-fi street cred with a recent bit of casting, booking one of the deadliest Terminators of them all for a key role later this year. So who is it?

Robert Patrick, best known for hunting John Connor in Terminator 2, has signed on to recur this season as Alcide's (Joe Manganiello) father Jackson Herveaux. According toThe Hollywood Reporter, Patrick will first appear in some flashbacks to Alcide's youth:
At the time, Jackson was said to be a "powerful, inspiring and heroic" guy, but in the present, he's given up on life. Jackson, as a way to repay his father's debt to Eric (Alexander Skarsgard), also stands as the reason that Alcide first agreed to help Sookie (Anna Paquin) search for Bill (Stephen Moyer) during Season 3.
In addition to Terminator 2, Patrick has also had stints in everything from The X-Files toStargate: Atlantis, and he should be a very interesting addition to True Blood.
Patrick's first appearance is scheduled for Aug. 5, in the episode "Everybody Wants to Rule the World."
Do you think Patrick is a good fit for the part?
