We still have to wait until next year to see Jose Padilha’s RoboCop reboot, but in case you forgot the original is a tough act to follow — Peter Weller is here to remind us.
At an event promoting Star Trek Into Darkness, Weller (who starred in the original RoboCop) was asked about the remake, which set him off on a 2+-minute soapbox about how the original is so awesome.
It’s nice to see Weller is still so passionate about Paul Verhoeven’s original, and he makes some good points. It really did strike the balance between smart and fun, which is a hard target to hit.
