Remember how LG said it would launch dual-core smartphones based on Nvidia’s Tegra 2 platform? Well, apparently one of them has been let loose on the webtoday.
According to Engadget, the handset (codenamed LG Star at the moment) should be out in early 2011.
Reportedly, this will be the world’s first dual-core Android smartphone. Its features include an 8 Megapixel camera with LED flash, front-facing camera, full HD (1080p) video recording, MicroSD card support, and a 1500 mAh battery.
It looks like this new LG handset will run stock Android – it’s not clear what version yet, but I’d say it’s Gingerbread.
Earlier today, LG announced it sold more than 1 million Optimus Ones, so the company is finally starting to make a splash in the smartphone market.
