Are these real renders of what HP Palm's WebOS-powered tablets will be? If so, we think HP might finally be able to steer its ship away from the wreck that was the HP Slate.
Engadget claims that a trusted tipster sent them shots of what are believed to be HP Palm's upcoming tablets. According to the gadget blog, there will be a 7-inch (Opal) and 9-inch (Topaz) tablet, both powered by the lovely WebOS. Aside from the front-facing camera and micro USB port, there appears to be three speakers (premium Beats?) and no home button. There is no indication that the tablets will have the Touchstone wireless charging system that the Palm Pre smartphones have (we hope HP proves these leaks wrong) either.
As far as wireless goes, there will be Wi-Fi, AT&T 3G, Verizon 4G LTE and AT&T 4G LTE models available by September 2011 to July 2012.
HP has since fired back, insisting that we haven't seen it all on Engadget and to expect a lot more on its February 9 WebOS event. With no physical buttons on the tablets, we sure hope HP has sometouch feely bezels lying in wait. LINK
