Look out, animated glitter gifs fans: MySpace's days are numbered. Yesterday, the beleaguered social networking site laid off about half of its staff, and the future doesn't look great.
Owner News Corp. is currently looking for someone to take MySpace off their hands, hoping someone such as Yahoo will have an interest in it, but that somehow seems unlikely. And if they can't find anyone to buy it, look for them to cut their losses, stick MySpace in a burlap bag and toss it in a river. So long, old friend. You were too beautiful for this world.
