Earlier in August, DVICE reported that DARPA lost contact with their $308 million dollar hypersonic Falcon HTV-2 aircraft. Although DARPA had about two dozen stations set up to collect data on the HTV-2, a crewmember on one of the monitoring vessels (with a handheld camcorder) was the only one to get footage when the flight was lost.
