That's just what architect Dan Herchenroether did, creating a panel that his TV is mounted on that lifts up to reveal all those ugly components. It's a pretty clever solution, albeit one that requires that you dig a big hole in your wall. But if you're committed, this is one way to clean up the clutter in your living room.
