NVIDIA unveils new GPUs for desktop PCs

NVIDIA, a leading manufacturer of graphics processing units (GPUs), recently unveiled the GeForce GT 430 chip specifically for multimedia PCs and desktops.

The GT 430, codenamed GF 108, is NVIDIA's newest GPU made with the advanced 40-nanometer technology. The GPU has found its way into the desktop and notebook PCs of world-renowned name brands including: Acer, Asus, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Micro-Star, Samsung and Sony.
“The GPU has enough horsepower to process sophisticated, complex video and audio files for multimedia PCs and high-end desktop computers,” NVIDIA says.

With the GT 430, the user is offered with the best and most exciting graphics experience while they edit photos and videos, watch Blu-ray 3D videos, and browse Web pages with highly complex visuals that are best viewed with a capable graphics processor. Meanwhile, the GeForce GT 430 supports the NVIDIA 3D Vision technology as well as 3D monitors to enable the ultimate 3D experience for the user.
The GeForce GT 430 runs at a speed 1.5 times its predecessor and is compatible with the DirectX 11 standard for game development. With GT 430, the user can immediately enjoy dozens of games that are visually enhanced through the DirectX 11 technology.
The GeForce GT 430 also supports the HDMI 1.4a standard for delivering high-quality 3D videos, and can accelerate Blu-ray 3D playback to allow users to fully immerse themselves in a 1080p, 3D environment.
The GeForce GT 430 may be purchased through certain retailers, including ASL, Asus, EVGA, Galaxy and Innovision 3D.
