Sanwa outs 'universal' 3D glasses that work on any 3D TV

The coast is clear. You can now safely go out and buy that 3D TV and not worry about whether your spare 3D glasses will work properly with it. Just one thing, the 3D TV has to be a Japanese one.

Sanwa is boasting that its universal 3D glasses will work with any 3D TV from Japan, including the likes of Sony, Panasonic, Sharp and Toshiba. So what about the the awesome 3D TVs made by Samsung, LG and other brands like Vizio?
While not quite as attractive as Gucci's 3D eyewear, Sanwa's 3D glasses are only $95 and can be charged via USB. It comes in three sizes to fit your face and even has a detachable nose piece for people who wear glasses.
