Seems Whedon snuck a Buffy cameo into The Avengers after all...

He just couldn't resist. The full cast list for Marvel's The Avengers has been released, and it appears director Joss Whedon managed to sneak in one of his old Buffy The Vampire Slayer stars, after all. So, who is it?

As part of the lead-in to the film's May 4 release, the studio has released the complete cast list, all the way down to the tiny bit parts. Among them? Alexis Denisof, who played Wesley Wyndam-Price on Buffy and the darker spinoff Angel. His part is listed only as "The Other," which most expect is a blink-and-you-miss-it part. So keep your eyes peeled!
Denisof was one of the coolest things about Angel during its run, so it's nice to know he'll be hanging around the margins of the biggest comic book team-up ever.
For those keeping count, this marks the second cameo for a former Whedon player (third if you count Chris Hemsworth, aka Thor, for his turn in Cabin in the Woods). Former Dollhousedoll Enver Gjokaj will be playing a young officer in a small role, likely with S.H.I.E.L.D.
Now if only we could get that mythical Buffy vs. Black Widow fight Whedon was talking about.
