Arrow producer confirms one character's highly anticipated return

Oliver Queen has a hard time making friends. Aside from Diggle, no one really knows about his double life. Well, there is one other person, but they're no longer on the show. Or are they? Arrow producer Greg Berlanti confirmed the return of an ally-turned-nemesis.

While on the 2013 Television Critics Association Press Tour, Berlanti was asked aboutArrow's upcoming roster. There are so many stars and characters slated to appear, and this is only its first season. The producer confirmed that we haven't seen the last of Helena Bertinelli, aka Huntress (Jessica De Gouw). "She's going to come back," Berlanti said. "We're just writing that episode right now."
Oliver's vengeance-seeking protege left the hero's heart in shambles. So what should we expect from her this time around? "We like to think of her as the crazy ex-girlfriend. So if you can only imagine the turns ... her mission isn't done or complete yet. She wanted to kill her dad, and he's still alive."
We wonder how her appearance will play into Oliver's latest troubles. He has his hands full with the Dark Archer, who's already making his life a living hell.
Arrow returns Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Jan. 16.
