The first Halo game was, by its very definition, Microsoft Xbox's killer app: It was the game you bought the Xbox to play. And now, six games later, the minds behind Halo are gunning to remind you why you fell in love with the Master Chief in the first place.
Halo 4 will be the first game starring the Master Chief—one of the medium's most popular, enduring characters—not produced by Bungie, the production/design house that gave us all of his previous adventures. And, judging by this behind-the-scenes mini-documentary, the new stewards of the Master Chief story, 343 Studios, are taking the responsibility damned seriously.
Two things of note about 343: 1) The fact that they've built a backstory for the red vs. blue multiplayer campaigns is both supremely granular and kind of encouraging and 2) 343 has a woman named Kiki Wolfkill working there. And I've just decided I want to ride into battle with Kiki Wolfkill.
