In addition to stunning visuals and great storytelling, HBO’s Game of Thrones is also known for another feature: a boatload of nudity. But one of the female stars is reportedly tired of walking around in the buff all the time.
Actress Natalia Tena, who plays Osha on the series, was talking about all the nudity and sex scenes on the series, and mentioned that one of the cast members got so tired of walking around in her birthday suit that she’s essentially refused to do it anymore — and has apparently managed to convince the writers to keep her clothes on for a while now.
Here’s an excerpt from Tena's interview with The Telegraph:
“One of the girls in the show who got her kit off the most in the first couple of seasons now doesn’t at all because she said, ‘I want to be known for my acting not for my breasts.’”
Tena doesn’t go into detail over which actress is pushing back against the producers, though the best guess goes to Emilia Clarke (pictured above), who plays the dragon lady Daenerys Targaryen. Clarke has previously spoken out about the nudity, essentially calling it gratuitous because it focuses so much on the female characters as opposed to the males.
