3 examples of MASSIVE LIQUIFACTION in Japan -- last month's 9.0 magnitude

3 amazing shots of what is commonly known as the geologic process of "liquifaction". When an earthquake vibrates the ground in such a manner as to cause the small particulate matter which makes up the layers of earth, turn to a "liquid" when the waves of seismic vibration pass through them.

Causing some areas to sink, others to rise, and the water table to pass through the multiple layers and rise to the surface through fissures.

Last months 9.0 in japan caused these events.. and it shows the amount of movement that actually occurs during an event of this magnitude.
