The GT-R Track Edition, which debuted at the 2013 Chicago auto show, has been available in global markets for the last coupe of years, but is making its first appearance in the U.S. for 2014.

Available for order starting today, the 2014 GT-R Track Edition carries an MSRP of $116,710, including a $1,000 destination charge. For those keeping track, that's $16,120 dearer than the standard GT-R Premium and $6,410 more expensive than the GT-R Black Edition.

That extra cash nets several performance upgrades, including improved brake cooling, track-tuned Bilstein DampTronic gas pressure shock absorbers and higher spring rates. The Track Edition also comes standard with a carbon fiber rear spoiler and RAYS forged lightweight wheels, which are optional extras on the GT-R Black Edition.

Inside the Track Edition does away with the GT-R's typical back seats in the name of weight savings. The front buckets are covered in special leather and fabric appointments to ensure maximum grip.

Nissan has allocated just 150 units of the 2014 Nissan GT-R Track Edition for the U.S. market.
