Yes, we've seen huge multitouch desks and tables before, most notably from Microsoft, in the form of Surface. And Surface is undeniably awesome, but good luck trying to get one for yourself. Forget Microsoft, though: ExoPC is teasing a 40" multitouch desk that you (you!) might actually be able to afford.
The details about the ExoPC ExoDesk are more or less entirely encapsulated in the vid below; we don't know much else about it besides that it'll supposedly be putting on an appearance at CES this coming January. So I guess we know one thing, then.
Oh, and it's 40" wide. Two things.
OH! And thing number three (the final thing) is that it's rumored to end up costing $1,200. I know, $1,200 sounds like a lot, but if you break it down between the 40" multitouch display and an included computer capable of driving said display, it's easily comparable to the cost of buying or building a high-end PC from scratch. And come on, it doesn't get much higher-end than an interface like this.
