You'd better not say the word Twi-hard in front of Stephenie Meyer

It's no secret that the hype surrounding The Twilight Saga is borderline unhealthy. The Team Edward and Team Jacob campaigns along with "Robsten" shippers are just a few antics perpetrated by Twi-hards. But out of all the things to dislike about the fandom,Twilight creator Stephenie Meyer only has one gripe—their name.

Twi-hards are obsessive followers of any and everything Twilight. The nickname comes from their die-hard antics and their unwavering dedication to the characters. When asked about her take on the Twi-hard title, author Stephenie Meyer said, "I don't really like 'Twi-hard.' It sounds awful."
Twi-hard may make her skin crawl, but "Robsten" gets the stamp of approval. "I guess the Robstens are really funny to me," Meyer said. "You know, because they care so much about that relationship. It's just, I find it amusing." The author's on board with what fans call the couples, but not with what they call themselves.
Meyer can dislike the Twi-hard name all she wants, but she can't deny their power. Last weekendThe Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn—Part I earned more than $139 million in the U.S. and almost $300 million worldwide. That's for only three days! Some films are lucky to crack $100 million during their entire theatrical run.
