On June 30, 1953, the first Corvette rolled out from the company’s plant in Flint, Michigan. Now, the company decided to mark the 60th anniversary of the Corvette with the introduction of the 2014 Corvette Stingray Premiere Edition. The model will also mark the production launch of the seventh-generation Corvette on June 28, 2013 in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
The new Corvette Stingray Premiere Edition is limited to only 500 units and is based on the top-of-the-line 3LT trim level. The new limited edition will feature Laguna Blue Tintcoat paint combined with a Brownstone suede interior.
To further identify the model, Chevrolet equipped it with a "stinger" hood stripe, "Stingray" logos on the door-sill plates and wheel caps. It will also come with the Z51 Performance Packagewith Magnetic Selective Ride Control, a carbon-fiber roof and a variable-tuned performance exhaust system.
Also, each unit will be offered with a custom Corvette branded luggage from Thule. Chevrolet has yet to unveil the pricing on this limited model.

Chevrolet Corvette Stingray
The seventh generation Corvette Stingray was unveiled at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show. It comes with a completely revised exterior look, an updated interior and an all-new engine.
Under its hood, the 2014 Corvette Stingray will feature a 6.2-liter small-block V-8 engine that produces 460 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 465 pound-feet of torque at 4,600 rpm. It can sprint from 0 to 60 mph in under four seconds and up to an anticipated top speed of 180 to 190 mph. When equipped with the Z51 package and the performance exhaust, the Stingray will sprint from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.8 seconds.
The model is priced from $51,995.
