The Oculus Rift doesn't have a release date yet. Heck, Oculus VR hasn't even announced whatquarter they'll begin shipping the consumer version of their headsets. There are only fourplayable games out of development for the VR headset to date, but as per usual, nothing can stop the porn industry.
The game is called Wicked Paradise, and its goal is to become the world's first immersive erotic virtual reality adventure game. We're not gonna get into the particulars of the whole immersion angle right now, but suffice it to say that the game aims to offer lots of "excitement."
"Imagine the world and its inhabitants look highly realistic," proclaims the Wicked Paradisewebsite. "Imagine walking into a bar in Wicked Paradise, noticing a beautiful lady, talking to her, and seducing her. Imagine playing your cards right and having passionate wild sex with her. Imagine all this in high quality, immersive virtual reality."
We're not sure how much imagination is actually required here. Especially after viewing thedefinitely NSFW technical tests thus far, which we had to do becuase it's our job to educate ourselves about the content of our articles. Whatever your opinion of porn, VR, or gaming, you just might have to hand it to the folks behind Wicked Paradise. At the very least they've created something new. They might even have jump-started an entire industry.
