A new trailer for Vin Diesel’s Riddick has arrived, showing off even more merc-fighting and monster attacks. Want to see?
This one serves up more footage of the action we’ve been waiting for, and is a good set-up for the plot: Mercenaries are hunting Riddick, big monsters start hunting all of them, they team up (somewhat) to kill them all. Simple, elegant, and hopefully awesome.
The film seems to be a passion project for Diesel, picking up the story that started all the way back in 2000’s cult hit Pitch Black, and could be one of the coolest films of the year if it can channel the subtle charm of the original. That's a tall order, especially considering the muddled mess of a sequel Chronicles of Riddick that hit in 2004.
Oh yeah, if you needed more incentive? It also stars Katee Sackhoff (Battlestar Galactica) and Karl Urban (Star Trek, Dredd). What more could you want?
Though it’s been delayed along the way, Riddick finally opens September 6. Will you be watching?
